Herbivore Botanicals - Facial Oils

Posted by Jasmine Virani on

We've just started carrying this amazing apothecary line from Seattle, WA called Herbivore Botanicals. Their products are to die for! Seriously, you must try it out. And let's not even get into their packaging... love love love!

One of their most popular products are their facial oils. If you don't know much about facial oils, here is a little blurb they've shared that might just get you hooked.

.........

Why oil? Wouldn't that clog my pores or make my skin way too oily?

Let’s talk about it!

Oftentimes after using strong facial cleansers or products with harsh chemicals, skin is stripped of its natural oils, causing it to overcompensate in oil production or become dehydrated and unbalanced.

That’s why our skin needs good old fashioned MOISTURE. And oils are the most concentrated moisturizers available (a little bit goes a long way!). In contrast to traditional cream moisturizers and lotions, which tend to be high in water and emulsifying agents but low in actual effective ingredients, our facial oils contain no fillers and are formulated with only effective natural ingredients.

Herbivore’s facial oils are made with 100% natural, cold-pressed oils — such as jojoba, rosehip, and sea buckthorn — that thoroughly hydrate skin without clogging pores.

Our carefully chosen oils absorb easily to get moisture, vitamins, fatty acids, and antioxidants into your thirsty skin. They also form a natural lipid barrier to lock moisture in and protect against dryness and heat in the environment. Pretty radical, huh?

In short, skin (oily or not) needs moisture and nutrients! And quality oil is the most effective way to get it.

Now the only question is: Which of our facial oils is right for you?
